Well, at least it sounds like it was peaceful and pain-free. Ten days elapsed between his last post and yours re his passing. How sad to think that he had become so isolated from the world that no one missed him for so long, and then his passing was only discovered through the concern of virtual strangers.

I suppose that happens to many seniors, forgotten by the world, left to molder away their final years on this earth alone and discarded until a merciful death draws its dark curtain over their lives. So sad. . .

No one should die alone like that. Poor Walk.
