The scenario 1manband is seeing doesn't explain why a hopeless bankruptcy remains unsettled 9 months after the Chapter 7 filing.



Sure it does. Read the court documents. It seems there has been some legal wrangling over some insurance money. But it looks like that has now been settled and the case is likely to terminate soon.
