There was no abrupt rise in bashing in 2000. But many of the injured masses limped off to be never heard from again. There were plenty of bankruptcies among players and a few suicides including one-- a father of three-- about 18 months ago.

You should be more concerned about the death of penny discussion boards. The public is far sharper than 20 years ago. Money is pouring into conservative index and ET Funds and blue chips.

Also, all forms of gambling are in severe decline. Perhaps that's why one penny king-pin blew out his brains last month.
