Cisco Mexico provided Grupo Multimedios with DOCSIS 3.0.
But Grupo Multimedios used Cablevision and Telum to provide services in Mexico.
Would that fall under the patent infringement suit of Chanbond v Cablevision?

Multimedios Redes, a Mexican company offering triple-play services in the northern states of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila and Tamaulipas, has chosen the Cisco DOCSIS 3.0 solution to upgrade its network to support all-IP.
"As leaders in the market, our plans include next-generation video and data in our portfolio, which is why we require a robust network capable of supporting the new services to be offered to our customers," said Rene Bortoni, CEO at Multimedios Redes. "Due to the scalability of the platform, we had chosen Cisco's DOCSIS, that will allow us to grow the broadband in all our network and be the first ISP launching 300 Mbps service in the Monterrey area."
DOCSIS 3.0 as a standard helps operators address network speed limitations by enabling them to increase upstream and downstream speeds to 1Gbps, and also provides support for the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) with advance network capabilities, address space expansion device mobility, support and easier device operation.
The company does business as Cablevision and Telum. Cablevision, with more than 40 years in Monterrey, has more than 900,000 residential subscribers. Telum, focused in the enterprise market, started operations ten years ago and has a large fibre-optic deployment.
"In Mexico the IP traffic will grow seven-fold from 2010 to 2015," said Rogelio Velasco, vice president of Cisco México. "Service providers, including cable operators, must provide their customers with the means to get any content anywhere at any time, and the technology that will allow them to offer the service if required. We are very pleased to work with Grupo Multimedios and support them with DOCSIS 3.0 that will help them to face the new market requirements."
