Giggles N’ Hugs to Implement Fitness Fridays and Healthy Menu Items from Global Brand Ambassador Jillian Michaels

Giggles N’ Hugs, Inc. (GIGL), owner and operator of family-friendly restaurants that bring together high-end, organic food with active, cutting-edge play and entertainment for children, today announced that their Global Brand Ambassador Jillian Michaels – world-renowned wellness expert, business entrepreneur and mom – will launch Fitness Friday programs and introduce healthy new menu items for the Company’s locations. On June 28, NBCs Extra!, a daily national TV entertainment news show, will air coverage from the recent launch event featuring Michaels’ leading a functional fitness clinic and cooking demonstration for kids (check local listings for time).

“Families love Jillian’s approach to health and wellness so it makes perfect sense for us to incorporate her workouts for kids into our activities and some of her favorite recipes on our menu,” commented Joey Parsi, founder and CEO of Giggles N’ Hugs. “This is the first public event of what should become a series of major engagements with Jillian and the Giggles N’ Hugs brand. The exposure and media coverage that we have already garnered for this event is a testament to our brand ambassador’s popularity and her reach to millions of fans around the country.”

The kickoff event, which took place at the Company’s Topanga location on June 7, was designed to help kids and parents be more active and provided advice on healthy eating by demonstrating how to make Jillian’s healthy chicken salad wrap recipe which will be on the menu at all Giggles N’ Hugs locations. This event has already garnered major national press attention given that we are featured in the current issue of Us Weekly, In Touch , Life & Style and People magazine online.

Parsi added, “As we move forward with our expansion plans outside of the Southern California market, and the launching of our various product lines, the added exposure we anticipate in the coming quarters by working with Jillian should provide a big boost to our brand, setting the stage for solid demand as we enter new markets in the US as well as globally.”
