June 20,21-All this rain has had a positive effect on the plants. Wasn't it just a few days ago when the tallest zinnias were a mere 12 inches. Now they're up to 18 inches, with blooms just on the verge of opening. Three have opened so far, but it won't be long before a good two dozen open, with colors of pink, golden yellow, yellow, white, and red. The same happened to the Toothache plants. Dreama will have to take an image.

I'm seeing more melon fruits, including a pair on the first Moon & Stars hill. When I spot one now I take a basket of straw and tuck a few handfuls underneath the vines.

I went to Lowe's, the Supercuts for a haircut, and to Publix for sundries. While at Lowe's I bought a box of 36 Jiffy peat pellets, a packet of Copenhagen Market Early cabbage, and a packet of DiCicco broccoli. Mohammed destroy the Persian basil plants--accidentally--so I will try to start more indoors and transplant them into a bed.

Here and there, I see a beefsteak tomato turning color. By mid July I should picking a couple of ripe ones each day.

The Valentine sunflowers remain at two. Maybe Thursday another will have opened. At least Dreama remembered to email an image.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
