Once a person makes the conscience decision to surrender their life to JESUS...when we come to the reality that our way is NOT the best way and we cry out to God for His forgiveness. When with a broken heart we truly repent of our wicked lifestyle up to that point in time. We become "born-again" and we receive the free gift of salvation by the grace of God and the shed blood of Jesus Christ. At that time we are filled with the Holy Spirit and we have a home in heaven! From that point on till the day this body of ours dies. No matter what we do, we cannot make Jesus go away. We cannot do anything that will cause Jesus to abandon us. Even when we mess up and sin...and maybe even commit a terrible sin...He will never leave us...He will never forsake us. Yes...He has promised us that! You see folks...there is no sin so great that the blood of Jesus cant wash away...that God cant forgive. There is nothing that we can do to cause the Holy Spirit to just up and leave our body....that just aint going to happen! Now...that dont give us a license to sin..that dont give us permission to do things that we shouldnt...there is consequences for sin and God will send correction and discipline our way because of our sin. There is no free ride. Yes...the blood Jesus shed on the cross that day long ago covers all sins...past...present...future! Do you have the power of almighty God living in you today? Do you have the blessed assurance that you have a home in heaven when your body dies? Would you like to? Think about it!
