I think Amazon was smart to buy them just for distribution, plus, Whole a foods has been on the sale block forever and is way, way down from highs, so, it was cheap. but margins are low on food and requires skills Amazon doesn't have at the moment, like, brick and mortar, face to face customers, different employee skill sets and tons of them, etc...but, Wal Mart is kind of copying, as will others. Plus, IMO, Amazon way too overvalued, needs to come back a bit, this may be the thing to do it, might not, time will tell.
