The lack of advertisers in the advocate has to do with poor management decisions. You can go to any newsstand where there is a gay section and the NEW gay magazines are in abundant supply and full with ads from corporate America. I personally think it's a shame that the advocate is no longer the great national magazine it once was, but I have to admit I did lose interest when there was a major change in its style and how the magazine was packaged. They also lost some very good writers that had a huge impact on the investigative reporting that they were once known for.
