I don't disagree the cryptocurrencies are eating gold's lunch presently, however, gold is traditionally a hedge against geopolitical events and market corrections/crashes of great magnitude, the kind that will likely treat cryprocurrencies as a bubble. The new generation of investors' wealth pales in comparison to the old guard, and they're buying gold.
