My current set up includes a turntable, CD player, and dual cassette player. Old-fashioned 3-way speakers with 10-inch woofers with 5 lb. magnets. Luxman pre-amp coupled with a NAD amplifier built to Lucasfilm specifications. The newest elements (amp & pre-amp) are close to 20 years old. It is perfect for the old music I love.

I still have the Heathkit AR19 receiver my dad built for me when I was a junior in college. A friend gave me a turntable. I have to hook it up to the current system to make sure it still works. If the answer is yes, I'm going on the hunt for another pair of speakers. I'll set that up and use it for 45s. Why? The Heathkit has a "mono" option. Since most of my 45s are monaural, they sound like s*h*i*t on the current set up that only plays in stereo. <g>

Not at the top of my list of things to do though.
