science/tech people are stupidest people in whole world. Generally they are unfamiliar with emotions, so when they do experience emotions like greed and fear-of-missing-out they will do the most ridiculous things. Just look at the infamous TimeWarner//AOL merger at the dotcom bubble peak ca. 2001. Only an educated geek would do something that like that. But these geeks get overwhelmed by passion, which they generally do not experience. We are seeing that happening now with the crypto currencies. The geeks at the mercy of their emotions and yet the public at large is not even involved yet.
