There are companies that invest in bankrupt companies because the share price dips very low after bankruptcy. Many on this board purchased this stock in the .30s. These investment companies buy on the dip and then get involved in the BK to change the plan or how the BK progresses. It can be extremely profitable. I once saw a BK stock payout over 100x the investment. That was the most extreme example I have seen.
