Also noticed the recent uptick in fake Twitter likes.

There seems to be a lot of accounts that are similar:

Well, yeah. Twit is free and buying followers isn't very expensive at all. Perfect for creating a false 'media blitz'.
hjoe has bought likes all along.

And hjoe seems to have 50 fb and twit accounts all over the internet.
