Funny thing is all companies large and small do it and as they get applications and resumes they all
say or send the same canned response "we appreciate your interest, we will keep your information on file and we will contact you as soon as a position is available that fit your back ground"

It standard practice to have a list of people to fill positions as needed. It's smart verse having a open position and having to rush to find someone to fill it.
