So far, just another entry into solar H2 production.

Your claim:

- solar electricity is more efficient and cheap than direct solar in splitting water molecules

is clearly false. Just read your referenced article (and all of the other articles on similar ventures). Each article contains similar language to that from your referenced one, namely"

“Our discovery may lead to a more economic approach for hydrogen production from water electrolysis.”
and
"...this may very well be the green energy source of tomorrow."

The operative word in ALL the articles is "MAY". From years of trials at this, no one has a means of "commercially viable" Hydrogen production - period! "Maybe" this is the one or the start of one, or NOT! None of those efforts are "efficient" and they are not "cheap".
