I've seen scenarios on other plays before where those converting warrants bait in shorts expecting a liquidation, and the whole while are actually the ones soaking up the short shares on top of their existing warrant conversions. In that case the warrant holders accumulated so much that they had to file a 13g, which exposed the fact that they weren't liquidating but instead buying. This triggered one of the hardest short squeezes I have ever seen. This is the wild west after all.
