After a little more digging I noticed Wong's email was an @bullruncapital.ca. Went to http://bullruncapital.ca/ and found that Kal and Wong started Bullrun Capital Inc in 2015 to act as a spring board for funding (and cashing in on) startups.

Kal already has too many shares to know what to do with here. Seems like this is just a way to get Wong in the game and throw options at him.

For now, I'll view this change as still incentivized for personal interest.
