Stockholder equity goes to the preferred shareholders first, so it's $0/share for common.
They can't get cash to do anything, so they're pretty much dead in the water, so to speak.

When you think "there can't be that many people falling for this", remember the Bernie Madoff story and recall that over $50 BILLION of smart money fell for a great story.
