such as T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T, also have tools to combat robocalls. They work by blocking calls from numbers known to be problematic.


For a fee. Ironic isn't it when the big providers have no qualms about selling your number to the very same list purchasers they claim to block. AND sell your email as well. There isn't any law stopping them. Just lip service by the same providers saying they won't.

If I accidentally pick up I just stay silent and listen for the hang up or breathing. If it's someone who knows me, they usually say something, like "hey idiot, pick up!".

What really pisses me off are the text spams which the phone company double and triple dip on charges by charging us even if we don't connect but your phone registers the text.
