Growing company in Fort Washington seeking a Controller with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting, and any experience in private industry is a plus. An accounting degree is required, along with strong QuickBooks and MS Office Suite skills. You will be responsible for performing the overall input into the general accounting and financial records. As a defense contractor, any military experience is also a plus.
General Responsibilities Include:
Support the overall accounting function, which includes cash reconciliation, Quickbooks input, subsidiary ledger maintenance, monthly project budget updates, Balance Sheet and P&L account analysis, and budget vs actual reporting Confirm all A/R billings and A/P invoices data with the Treasurer Maintain and report status of fiscal information by contract/job and sub-tasks Compile and review monthly financial reports and analyses Participate in monthly meetings with management and all levels of the organization, to provide financial information Compile quarterly and yearly financial information for SEC and Income Tax reporting Serve as a liaison of all financial data to the Company’s independent contract consultant, public auditing firm, tax consultant and SEC consultant
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum 5 years of experience combined in Public Accounting and Private Industry Familiarity with job-cost accounting concepts Experience with Quickbooks and MS Office Suite Able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to effectively interact with all employee levels within the Company
