You are going to have to file a Worthless Securities form - each broker treats this slightly different.

Here is the Etrade form: https://content.etrade.com/etrade/customer/invest/Worthless_Securities.pdf

With Etrade they pay you $0.01 for all of your AEGY stock plus a transaction fee - so you are paying them to buy your stock.

But it will be recorded as a loss and you can use it on your taxes.
