I was just putting together a post on how the military is also a great target customer for their pump and generator technology. We are thinking alike!! They want more efficient, reliable equipment, that takes less maintenance. They also have no hesitation to try new, innovative technologies. Utilities on the other hand are incredibly risk adverse. I have spoken with electric utility managers who bragged about making sure they are one of the last to adopt a new technology because they want to make absolute sure that it works as advertised and will not disrupt their system.

Hopefully CoolTech has, or plans to, work in slides noting their other technologies in their interactions with the military. The pump technology especially as the military has identified significant flooding threats to many of their bases and are trying to plan for them. They know sea levels are rising and will continue to rise. The more reliable, less maintenance, and more powerful pumps for a given footprint should be of great interest to a commander responsible for Norfolk.
