House Repubs (minus 20) celebrated Trumpcare that they succeeded in passing a healcare bill that will sharply cut Medicaid spending by $800 million effecting the poor despite Trump's campaign promises not to touch Fed health insurance for the poor if he won the election. The bill also weakens protection for people with pre-existing conditions, contrary to another Trump campaign promise.
The House bill was opposed by groups representing doctors, hospitals, and the AARP as those with pre-existing conditions will be forced into state high-risk pools - including those states who refused to help their citizens by taking Obama's $$$ to expand their Medicaid program.
Winners in House Repub bill: insurance companies, young-healthy people, and rich people.
Losers in House Repub bill: Americans with pre-existing conditions, older Americans, hospitals, patient groups from the MARCH of DIMES, AMERICAN DIABETIS ASSOCIATION, AARP, and moderate Republicans.
Shortly after celebrating with House Repubs for screwing Americans, Trump met with and praised Australia's PM Malcolm Turnball for his country's government-funded healthcare system, saying "we have a failing health care system, you have better healthcare than we do".
