Unfortunately, not providing everyone with timely access to healthcare only means that all of us pay for significantly more expensive emergency health care.
Unless, of course, you would like to see emergency rooms deny care to everyone who either doesn't have verifiable health care* or can pay - preferably in cash - before examination and treatment? *And sweet lord help ya in an emergency if a computer glitch prevents your insurance information from being accessed.
BTW, "people who do not work?" How do you feel about people who work three jobs, none of which provide healthcare and the combined pay of all three jobs is inadequate to buy medical insurance as an individual (and still have housing and food)??
