I hope you are correct. Although it would seem that if this scenario is true, then the parties would have already agreed to what the final settlement will be.

So why couldn't they just state something along the lines of "...the parties have reached an agreement... details will be made to the public upon the conclusion of...".

I guess we just wait another month to see what happens.
