At current electric prices, and with the increase of fossil fuel production will possibly go lower is there really that much savings.


Like the coal companies. Drive the prices down. No profits, or losses. They go bankrupt.
They can only afford to raise prices.
They raise prices. We are cheaper.
They lower prices. They go bankrupt.
Win-win for us.

Cost plus interest plus maintenance plus still needing to be hook up to some type of back up power is it really worth it today to go solar?


Yes. Long run solar is cheaper. After the payback period. And there IS one. Power is free....
Yes, the payback is better where power rates are high..
Bigger systems are cheaper per watt than small systems...
Average energy cost per person in my state is $2,000+ per person/year.
With the right house and the right car you should be able to power your whole life with solar.
