I don't think the Fed will raise again. I just read the the Atlanta Fed dropped the Q1 estimate to .2%. Because of all the retail stores closing and some filing for bankruptcy, and the problems with the auto industry I don't see them raising again.

I'm not a fan of either political party. To me they are all elites. Both parties want big government. The Repubs say they are for smaller gov. but they are not. The Freedom Caucus is the exception. Unfortunately, they have been vilified in the press and by both parties. The press, Democrats and members of their own party attack them. That should give everyone a clue who's side they are on. But, American people are idiots.

You are right to assume the Dems want to shut down government. Bank on it. Schumer and Pelosi are political hacks who put party first over country. I think Trump should not give in. There is enough tax receipts coming in from individuals and corporations to make interest payments, pay Social Security and military. It will eventually be raised to 22 or 23 trillion. They should just raise it to 30 or 50. Just spend spend spend.
