LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- Belle's Cocktail House on Market Street in Lexington is looking more like Hollywood.

Jefferson's Bourbon chose Lexington as its newest location to shoot commercials. Sara Ahlgrim, a producer with Post Time Studios, says they shot the ads in town because it's in the heart of bourbon country.

"You know, it's just a fun 'If Thomas Jefferson walked into a bar in 2017, what would happen?' But again, it all ties back to the bourbon," Ahlgrim said.

"Every day it's a new adventure," said Seth Thompson, a co-owner of Belle's. "They're putting a lot of good work into the commercial. I can't wait to see the final product here."

Thompson and his brother not only co-own Belle's, but they also run the Bourbon Review, the only Bourbon magazine in the world. The Lexington entrepreneur says 95 percent of bourbon is produced in central Kentucky. It's an $8.5 billion industry that employs nearly 18,000 people.

"Bourbon has experienced double-digit growth for the last four or five years consistently. Is it going to maintain that? Maybe not. But as long as there is growth year-in and year-out, I think that's a wonderful sign of its longevity," Thompson said.

The company will produce 20 commercials in Lexington. The first is expected to launch in the next two weeks. You can see the commercials on Jefferson's Bourbon YouTube channel and Facebook page.
