well raises shouldn't concern anyone, there were several imposed paycuts to attempt to keep AA out of BK, one of which was 24%, the pay raises bring flight attendants back to their 2004 wages, not counting any inflation, plus their new 787 jets(9 flight attendants) accommodate same number of psgrs as the 777 aircraft (13 flight attendants) thus reducing labor costs substantially with the ratio of flight attendants to passengers, as well as much better fuel savings.
