Looks like there is definitely something going on behind the scenes. $RMRK just filed two new things on 7 April. One amendment designating preferred shares and one annual list.

The only amendments filed since 2015. No actions were filed in 2016 at all. I take this as a great sign, since you don't typically file a preferred stock designation unless you've made a deal with someone or have plans to in the very near future.
