Looking at MEC -- which is also listed in HK as 0276.HK, its stock price has basically been flat since the beginning of the year. But it suffered a more significant drop in share price between October and year end 2016. It appears to be roughly 1/5th the size of MMC.

Here are the stats:

Market cap: 60M USD (MEC excluding convertible debt) vs 327M USD (MMC)

Enterprise value: 393M USD (MEC) vs 947M USD (MMC)

Revenues (TTM): 26M USD (MEC thru Oct-31-2016) vs 120M USD (MMC thru Dec-31-2016)

EV/Sales (TTM): 15.1x (MEC) vs 7.9x (MCC)

Free Cash Flow (TTM): (45)M USD (MEC thru Oct-31-2016) vs 29M USD (MMC thru Dec-31-2016)

EV/FCF (TTM): n/a (MEC) vs 33x (MMC)

YTD stock performance: -10.5% (MEC) vs -31.4% (MMC)

52-week high: .51 HKD (MEC Oct-17-2016) vs .40 HKD (MMC Oct-03-2016)

Current stock price: .25 HKD (MEC) vs .25 HKD (MMC)

Stock performance relative to 52-week high: -51.8% (MEC) vs -38.2% (MMC)

Those are some hideous numbers, but, as we know, they are backward looking ... nevertheless, MMC definitely looks like the superior play here (kind of like choosing between kissing your sister or your sister-in-law).
