Both beautiful cities; great food, nice people, a bit expensive, but well worth the cost.
The better half and I have spent a lot of time in both cities, (usually around the Easter long weekend), but Charleston’s my favorite. We time the visit so we can watch “The Hat Ladies Easter Promenade” along Meeting Street and indulge in a Mint Julep or two at The Carriage House, (we usually stay there so it’s convenient).
If it wasn’t such a pain in the arse for a Canadian to set up temporary residency in The States I would have bought a place there after the crash. Now it’s a little out of my $ range.
Savannah’s terrific too, nothing beats a po’boy and a cold draft for lunch on the roof of The Cotton Sail.
