French Presidential Election: First Round Results

Patrick returns to Red Ice to shed some light on the first round results of the French presidential election. We mull over various aspects of the election, including the historically low support for the Socialist party. Patrick explains the National Front’s newfound success, and why this party, despite finding itself vilified by the establishment media, is doing so well with workers and young people. Our show covers many more aspects of French politics, including how Emmanuel Macron’s strategy leaves an opening for Le Pen to win.
