Baltimore's Manny Machado slid into second the other day. One foot was a bit high and he spiked Dustin Pedroia. Machado immediately reached for Pedroia, helped him up, trying to make sure Pedroia was OK. Machado is not a dirty player, has no rep for trying to hurt anyone. Yesterday, I think it was Machado's third time up the Sox pitcher threw at his HEAD! and was immediately ejected. If you want to plunk a guy, do it on his back or his toochas. This was ugly and dangerous. I hope the Sox pitcher gets heavily fined and suspended.
