AGGREGATE OPINION (CROWD WISDOM) IS MOST OFTEN THE BEST INFORMED

Some say VRX will be bought out. Some say it won't. Plausible cases can be made for both sides. Google fundamental value of VRX. There is a large variation in how VRX is valued depending on the valuation model used and key assumptions.

It is here that technical analysis has something useful to say. A recent paper points out that TA is most useful when sentiment is extreme. My own research supports this idea. When sentiment is very bullish or bearish, as is the case with VRX (the sharp down trend tells us it is), then the market tends to depart for correct valuations.

I will let the stock's behavior tell about the likelihood of a buyout. So far there is no such sign. All the technical indications are for lower prices.
