Most medical marijuana dispensaries are cash only as major credit card companies won't process payments for it. And it's referred to by professional media and general news outlets as the medical cannabis industry which is still illegal under federal law. A businessperson with a Masters degree in law from Northwestern University should know that.

Currently there are medical marijuana merchant account providers but a business fighting 10 active breach of contract lawsuits and having no history in financial services or banking wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting the licenses to become any kind of merchant account provider let alone medical cannabis.
