It would only work, if the company had assets worth far more than its debt. Debt holder would need to be satisfied, before shareholders got anything. I doubt any debt holder would be willing to take less, just to help out the shareholders, especially since the company isn't generating much of a revenue.

Some assets are backing some of the Z shares also. They might not be available to satisfy debt.
There is the added problem of not knowing exactly what intellectual property/assets REDG owns.
