Jimmy Walker announced he's been dealing with Lyme disease since last November, but still plans to give it a go at this week's Valero Texas Open.
Walker previously come out before the Masters to declare he was fighting mononucleosis but he's since been diagnosed with Lyme disease instead. Like mono, Lyme disease causes extreme fatigue and in today's press conference, Walker compared it to having the flu constantly. The Texan has been wrestling with this since Thanksgiving, so this is nothing new, except now he can develop a plan of attack in order to fight the disease. Despite the illness, Walker posted a T18 at the 81st Masters just two weeks ago. The 2015 Valero champ is playing in a home game this week, but the illness does make him a medium-risk option for gamers this week.
