There's an interesting presentation on the Advocates for Opioid Recovery facebook page, basically a discussion by Gingrich/Kennedy this morning at a conference.

They have started a movement to lobby State Attorney's General to seek consent decrees forcing insurers to drop the medical necessity/preauthorization requirements because such requirements violate the Mental Health Parity Act.

Who knows if it will work, but an interesting approach, and the threat of legal liability is probably going to go farther with insurance executives than other arguments.
