Ouch. Like who, Oxford Nano, Genia, or something that ILMN puts out with their partners?

I was under the impression that SMRT was becoming more of the gold standard in long reads. Have you heard about their intent to increase output of the cells to 150 Gb/chip and sequence a full genome de novo for $1,000 by 2019?

How to beat that? I haven't seen or heard of anything that can yet but I'm not exactly in this field, just read what I read online. What are your thoughts on that?
