Putin and his true belivers really thought they could get the US to dissassemble itself with their trolls planting dissention with false news stories and operatives like Paul Manafort and Mike Flynn in influential positions.

The FBI is still working with a huge task force to remove them all from positions of influence. It took Trump a while to fully understand the degree to which he had been used.

It was similar to bin Ladin trying to use the 9/11 attacks to topple the US economy at a critical point of economic instability as the stock market bubble collapsed. Most of our wounds came from the real estate bubble response to keep the economic engines going strong.

The US is tough to kill.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
