I got rid of and wrote off in 2016 these stocks and on my 1099 it shows up as an incomplete transaction. I do have a record of my buys. I have asked them to take my record of buys and match them up and get my 1099 correct but they will not do it. How can you figure out what the history of these stocks are so I can get the tax consequences I deserve?

I used incomplete when I meant non covered.

You can still fill out the sch D and put your cost basis in yourself. As long as you have backup - like old confirmations of the purchase you can use the cost basis against the sale

With the name changes these securities have had I cannot recall what buy goes with what new ticker symbol. How do I get that information so I can do my schedule D correctly? I have asked Just2trade for this information and they will not do the research for me. As mentioned I do have my records of purchases. The tickers have changed and it doesn't match up and I am unsure what purchase goes with which ticker.
