A college professor acquaintance voted for Trump. I researched Trump support among professors and what I found suggested Trump support there was just 12% (before the election). But the professor probably always voted Republican. Pro-Life views played a role too.

No Einstein, he taught at a 3rd rate state university. His roots are lower middle class. He certainly has no personal beef with his situation, having recently retired with an incredibly lucrative pension that tax-payers are now saddled with.
