And using SSDs vs cheaper spinning HDs to achieve the same result would make using SSDs stupid. The fact you think always using more expensive SSDs is better proves your ignorance. My last post I stated I made the switch back to spinning HDs because they were over powered for what we needed. The cheaper spinning HDs produced the same result as the expensive SSDs because the choke point was bandwidth. Would you be left speechless because a driving school didn't use Lamborghini's? Or can you realize that the nicest hardware isn't always the best option. There's no way a little 200 person alpha needs enough bandwidth to need SSDs. And you still didnt clarify what is using SSDs. Game servers should never use SSDs. They should talk to the HD just on load then keep everything in RAM. If the infant unreleased game does need SSDs and insane bandwidth, then the TFVR devs are incompetent. So which is it? The code is poorly written and wasteful, or they're just wasting investor money for unnecessary hardware?
