I think whether he pumped or issued warnings depended on whether he'd been paid--in cash or stock--recently. But he knew a great deal about what was going on; Turino and Edwards didn't want him to spill all the beans, so I think they usually met his demands.
In the end, though, he was helpful to the SEC. Helpful enough that he wasn't sued by them, or indicted by the DOJ.
