April 6-Once again, the guys were hogging the computers so I went to bed early. There isn't much to record. The wind, mostly from the south, made doing anything outside so unpleasant I didn't bother. Inside the greenhouse, though, I managed to up pot all the remaining pepper plants. More or on the way. Late arrivals from newspaper cups in the apartment have appeared. I won't take them to the greenhouse right away. The forecast for Friday is more wind, followed by a low in the high 30s overnight Saturday morning.
The last known frost in Zone 7b is April 24. That's 18 days away. Anything is possible in the interim period. I have plenty of time to put out tomato plants. Once they get going, there's no stopping them.
I finally contacted Jerry. He's negotiating for a stand at the market on 36th st, a hip, trendy, fashionable section in Charlotte called the NoDa. I wouldn't qualify for any of those so I stay away.
Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
