I've followed Westport almost from the beginning. Way back when they were doing just plan research and development. Most of this R&D work was financed with the help of Cummins. They received many pattens for their work. Two major problems that Westport has had to overcome is the transition from research to production and an extremely weak economy.
With this President we will see an improving economy, which in turn should benefit Westport. I believe you will see this current administration embrace the use of NatGas for transportation. CMI / WPRT has developed a new 400hp NatGas engine which will work in the class 8 over the road truck market. This is a game changer imo.

I suggest watching the price of oil / diesel as that will dictate how quickly truckers will want to make the switch from diesel to NatGas. Many are doing so already, and many more are on the verge.
