Trump Booed At Rally — Threatens American Workers In Response

Today, President Trump gave a speech to American workers representing The Building Trade Union. As host, Chris Hayes points out (in the clip below …) Trump was doing his “usual spiel” for the gathered crowd — talking trash on Hillary Clinton and imitating reporters reading off (apparently reluctantly) his wins in various States. Trump seemingly felt he was “in his element” and “with his people” speaking to this very union crowd. Unfortunately, for him, this particular union endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential election. What he said next would suggest he was unaware of that fact:

“I had the support, of, I would say, I would say– almost everybody in this room” The crowd booed, along with a few cheering folks. Trump continued down this very bad path — “We had tremendous — we had tremendous support … And I’ll tell you, we had tremendous support from the workers.” the crowd can be heard expressing their disagreement and disapproval.

At that point, Trump seemed to realize that this crowd might not be as much on his side as he assumed:

“Would you like to make a change, folks?” Trump went on as people can be heard saying “yeah” in response. “Would you like to make a change?” he threatened. “Cause if anybody would like to make a change, you won’t be having so many jobs, that I can tell you.”

Trump finished off that threat by essentially telling American workers that only he is in control of their jobs. Trump likened his relationship with the American people to that of someone toying with a kitty-kat with a ball and string. Unfortunately for Trump, those cats may have caught that ball on a string and might not let go. Today, the FBI announced that they are creating a special unit to “put a surge in resources” behind the investigation into Russian meddling in our election.

Trump put out the proposition of ‘making a change” and with his approval rating hovering in the mid 30’s in most any credible poll, that may be exactly what an increasing amount of Americans want.
