Moving Into Winter...Perhaps NUCLEAR
...scary time for the world as the 'crazy fat kid' of North Korea has his finger posed over the launch of 1,000 short/intermediate range missiles loaded with enough fire power to set SE Asia aflame. Doesn't help that at the other end of the world the US has elected a bi-polar narcissist as POTUS.
The markets of course aren't going to wait for the first blast but rather anticipate by moving towards safety in UST, GLD and the FXY (don't know how safe the yen is if Japan is decimated).
So how will this all play out? The BEST outcome would be a limited nuclear war, the worst (if China comes to the defense of North Korea, like they did in the Korean war)...WWIII
As of today the season could be described as late fall/early winter, but the markets are rapidly moving to a full winter season.
